Fox news has two unnamed sources with knowledge confirming it.

It was earlier reported as use immunity only so I believe that doesn't rule out all future prosecutions just prevents his testimony in the Manafort case from being used in a potential future trial. Gates, btw isn't pleading the 5th. He's pleaded guilty to two counts (false statements and conspiracy) in exchange for 40+ counts the government won't prosecute against him and his testimony against Manafort. He'll be on the stand for quite a bit of this trial walking the prosecution through he and Manafort's crimes.
Thanks. I don't have cable right now so I am not up to date in politics.

Tony Podesta offered immunity to testify against Paul Manafort

I don't think Bonds is going to take this all that well.

Nearly everyone he's indicted either worked for the trump campaign or is a russian who committed crimes. That's who he was charged with investigating.

What has more to do with meddling in the 2016 election? The Podestas getting hacked by Russians in the 2016 election or Manafort committing bank fraud in Virginia in 2006? The Podestas have even deeper Russian ties than Manafort.

I’m being intentionally obtuse because I know how you are... but you can’t justify Podesta getting immunity from FARA violations while Manafort rots in the hole for the very same thing. And furthermore, if Mueller needs a Podesta to make charges stick to Manafort, than he really doesn’t have shite. You would think honest Bob would have a little more tact in a politically charged investigation such as this. But being the centrist you are, I’m sure you’d be just fine with someone like Kellyann testifying against Robby Moock.

mean, Podesta lobbying for Manafort's pro-Ukraine interests may have somehow affected our political process, I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but no, it's not the point of this investigation

Kind of like all of manaforts accusations?

It doesn't surprise me at all. What does surprise me is that you seem to be ok with it. Are we not concerned about prosecuting crimes discovered through Mueller's investigation? This seems to give credence to Trump's claims of "witch hunt". The exact same crimes allegedly committed, one by a D the other by an R. D gets immunity, R gets prosecuted. I don't see how you support this.

The big redacted black box on page 2 of the Rosenstein memo attached to this story is what Mueller's still investigating Manafort for (in addition to the crimes he's prosecuting in VA and DC).

Read the DOJ memo authorizing Mueller to investigate potential Manafort collusion

Let’s get Dick Morristo roll on the Clinton’s and have Sessions throw them both in jail.

I’m sure the “justice minded” left would have zero issues with this. Lol

They wouldn’t even accept a house memo because there were more r’s than d’s on the committee

No one can convince me that the democratic leftists hyperpartisan hacks that believe every word CNN says...don't put party before anything, they can never call out their own party, *those that have are Trumpocrats*

Also: Anthony Podesta was seemingly given a heads up to file retro-actively as a foreign agent and Manafort wasn't.

DJT seems to think Manafort has something on him. Do you think it's something outside of collusion? Money-laundering, maybe?

quote:

Donald Trump is telling friends and aides in private that things are going great — for him. Some reasons: He's decided that a key witness in the Russia probe, Paul Manafort, isn't going to "flip" and sell him out, friends and aides say. He believes Robert Mueller, who heads the investigation, can be crushed, if necessary, without being fired.

The 'state' of Donald Trump? He thinks it couldn't be better

nbc news sauces

Your political ignorance is showing, TURN OFF CNN! Manafort's so called crimes (lobbyist white collar crimes) were done under the Obama administration.

Why was Anthony Podesta allowed to retro-actively file as a foreign agent and Manafort not?

Because they had to have a tie to Trump for muh Russians.

Manafort filed retroactively too

quote:

A consulting firm led by Paul Manafort, who chaired Donald Trump’s presidential campaign for several months last year, retroactively filed forms Tuesday showing that his firm received $17.1 million over two years from a political party that dominated Ukraine before its leader fled to Russia in 2014.

Manafort disclosed the total payments his firm received between 2012 and 2014 in a Foreign Agents Registration Act filing late Tuesday that was submitted to the U.S. Justice Department. The report makes Manafort the second former senior Trump adviser to acknowledge the need to disclose work for foreign interests.
