Why is he tapping out of the US Senate after one term to run for governor of Alabama. That’s a backwards move politically.

But is it, really?

Get out of the cesspool that is D.C. and back to his adopted, beloved, Alabama ... at least for a day ... long enough in Alabama?

It's win win for Tommy.

Become gov of Alabama at the age of 72 orrrrrrrr ...

Retire in Santa Rosa Beach and live out his next 10 years, or whatever, in peace.

Either way he goes out of politics blazing on his own terms.

The US Senate is still the most powerful fraternity on Earth. AL is shuffling people in and out of those seats at a pretty good clip, definitely an outlier state in that regard right now.

I’m sure Tommy wants to go back to being a big fish in a small pond, as well as spending 70% of his time in FL. He could take a shite in a bag, light it on fire on live TV; it would be a be an improvement over Gov Meemaw. She’s flat turrible, Sir Charles.

Rumor is that he found out it was Muslims that started this one and he's been on the warpath since.

I hated him at auburn. Hated him.

But man he is a man of character and integrity. What a wonderful representative Alabama has.

I agree - I just don't understand how we can allow such a radical group to set up shop in America under the auspices of being a 'religion' = when to them 'religion' means 'death to others'

Get their asses out of here -

and note ---> part of their 'religion' is to lie about their purpose.

Claiming adherence to that particular 'religious sect' should not be an excuse for behavior - it should be considered a confession of crime.

A huge inferno gutted a 19th century Amsterdam church Thursday, as the Netherlands endured an unsettled New Year's Eve with two dead from fireworks and "unprecedented" violence against police.

The blaze broke out in the early hours at the Vondelkerk, a tourist attraction that has overlooked one of the city's top parks since 1872.

They had a massive illegal fireworks problem that night along with civil unrest. Who exactly was doing this? The story doesn't exactly go into it in depth but police were attacked in multiple cities petrol bombs were even used in one.

A fragile calm hangs over the Dutch capital, still reeling from the unrest that erupted a week ago when Israeli football fans came under attack in the centre of Amsterdam.

City officials described the violence as a "toxic combination of antisemitism, hooliganism, and anger” over the war in Gaza, Israel and elsewhere in the Middle East.

It smells Snackbarish to me.

Yep, there's is not a religion ... it's a pedophilic death cult, a world domination political ideology masquerading as a religion.

It's called Taqiyya ... it's sinister. It's evil.

Yes it should but, unfortunately, we've invited evil across the threshold of our home and now it's going to take very drastic measures to get them out.

The Dutch are actually claiming it was an accidental fire set off by fireworks on New Years.

Is it not oddly coincidental that churches all over Europe are suddenly, accidentally, burning down?

None burned since 1945 (war) and then, as of 2018 over 200 across Europe have burned.

And around that same span of time over 60 food processing facilitites in the U.S. goes up in flames.

Been listening to AM news in the morning going to work... Tommy is on often. He is pushing HARD for Trump's agenda, especially the SAVE Act.

He reminds everyone why we are as dystopian as we are and that if the Democrats win, they'll immediately get rid the Senate of the filibuster... then goodbye Columbus, goodbye America.

It's like he (or his staff) sit on this forum.

Sure it was. Muzzies have been attacking churches in Europe and now this one burns down. We’ll never know for sure what happened, but the we know the Dutch government is lying to protect muzzies and the best bet is that muzzies did it.
