Fwiw, Texdiddler eventually addressed it, but only because she didn’t want Trump to become a martyr.
She agreed with the act otherwise.
Here are just a handful of the SFP “almost centrists” that refused to fully denounce. There are more, I’m just not going back though all of my posts.

I defend SFP pretty regularly.
However, I think old boy is on the spectrum and simply HAS TO respond to anyone that criticizes him.
I’m beginning to think that “downvotes” either trigger him, or (weirdly) validate him.
As such, he has pretty much become oppositionally defiant.
The sad thing is, before he went all Asperger’s, he actually made quite a bit of sense.
Now, he latched onto some obscure point to be argumentative.

If they did, then I would have changed the stances I've had for almost 20 years on here to ride the wave of shedding ideology for new trends.

If posters just ignored him he wouldn’t have anything to reply to. Its like some can’t resist him. Infatuated with replying. I just laugh and ignore. Those replying are helping give him a soap box to preach his agenda.
