Hey sir, war is a dirty business. But there's no reason not to look good doing it.

Russia and China say HI

We are actually shifting to the Pacific even more.

nah nah b/c that wouldn't do shite.

You need just 2000 support troops alone to sustain that kind of overseas base. And Active troops should not be doing DHS job guarding the border.

That's not the case at all. Regardless of who was elected all of the armed forces were going to make cuts in the enlisted and officer ranks. The brass is top heavy as it has ever been. Had it not been for a DUI he probably wouldn't have been fired.

DHS needs to go away and the military needs to guard the border.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but many Majors that are on the "list" to be "fired" from the military have put in approx. 15 years in the military give or take a few years. They are only 5 years or so away from being able to retire. Now they have to start completely over in private sector with zero. This is bullshite IMO.

Yeah, it sucks but the military is drawing down. It's done that after every war in our history.

Those years can carry over in another Federal position. Know many that get out even earlier and become DoD civies.

So is the Army doing it differently than the Air Force? With the AF's methods this go around, if you have 15 years in, you get retired, not just the boot. So you get your check, medical benefits, etc. Now if you have 14 years, it's just involuntary separation pay. Is this not what the Army is doing?

I just checked. The Army is doing the same as the AF. 15 years and you are considered for early retirement. You aren't just starting over at zero.
