It absolutely is not and that is just sheer Biblical ignorance and neither was Peter the first Pope. That is complete nonsense lol the early Christians met in houses and met daily. Christ is the head of the Church which is made quite clearly by Paul. The Church wasn’t created to be headed by any Earthly man including Peter also made quite clearly by Paul. Jesus was commenting on Peter’s confession of faith not Peter himself as the cornerstone. Nothing about the Catholic Church resembles the early Church from its politics and social stances to its rigid hierarchy of leadership. That’s a fallacy concocted by Catholics. With that being said, there is no Protestant Church that can claim they were the early Church either

I converted Easter 2023. This was exactly my reaction a few weeks into RCIA. It can’t be legitimately denied.
I was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader, usher, greeter, grounds crew, you name it other than preaching and music. It was a journey 20 years in the making, as I became disenchanted with modern American Christianity.
I’ve been in Baptist, Assembly of God, non-denominational, charismatic, Calvinist/Reformed churches. The way modern Western Christianity does church is bizarre and nothing like what the early church did. I can’t believe I didn’t see it sooner. I will never go back.

I doubt it, they don't follow Jesus either. Why are you just looking for a lower bar or a bar as low as your own? Seems to me you should be looking at the actual standard set by the guy you claim to follow.
I'm not a Christian. The only thing saved by the death of truth is the lie, and the lie will live until the truth returns. You MUST keep the commandments. It is the life of Jesus that saves because he shows and gives the example on the proper way to follow the commandments.
He was murdered by his own religious leaders and government because he threatened their lie. Because they took themselves as the authority, not the people which Jesus said was the real authority. He rejected becoming that political/religious leader.
And that is why he is the truth, the way and the life/light. To follow him is to walk in the truth, it is to keep the commandments and do as he does. Instead, your church and religion has replaced that with - he died for my sins, so I can't do whatever the frick I want as long as I believe in him.
So instead of following him, many are just worshiping his idol. They'll praise Jesus, they'll do so many things in his name. It's a competition for who can praise Jesus the hardest, but there is very little if any desire to actually follow him.
Not to say all Christians are bad, those who mislead carry the burden ultimately. At least you generally give a frick and likely want to follow the correct things. But the biggest asset you can have in this world is a good heart because there is very little understanding.

I have ancestors that were burned at the stake during reformation. It's in my blood to question. Yet the moment I realized the entire foundation to reformed Christianity is believing the OGs were actually satan worshiping demons, I realized how full of shite they were.

I don't belong to any religion, I know what Jesus knew because I know the father. When I read Jesus, I can see the father in him as well, because the understanding he speaks, of which you do not see, only comes from the father.
