All of what you wrote is meaningless. We already knew who and what most everyone is.
This is a fad.
The only thing productive; the only thing that moves the meter, imo, is using this topic to teach (original) American principles. See above what I wrote to BamaAtl.
They are (ostensibly) protesting institutional abuses of power. I agreed with him that abuses of power are wrong and that they should be protested. Now we have some common ground, even though I likely disagree with him on the particulars. What is the solution to abuse of power? Is it to give the government more power or less power? I will teach him history if that's what he needs. Why not try to unite on the priciples of smaller, less intrusive government and transparency instead of arguing dug in positions? Ironically, both sides actually already agree that is a policeman murders someone that they should be prosecuted to the fullest.
Anything else is self-serving garbage. The red team/blue team bullshite divides us and has taken us down a dark road for the last 120 years.

You're arguing for a rational debate in a society that simply isn't interested in that.
That's why we're going to fail. Instead of winning over people though compelling, pursuasive arguments, people just want to win the argument. Winning the argument does nothing to move people to your point and usually has the opposite effect leaving both parties angry and farther apart. All those "winning" arguments for the last few decades are why we're so polarized as a society. What have we won?

I never agreed with the cause or method of protest, but it never affected the side upon which I butter my bread. Still gonna watch NFL football whenever I want

It is actually simple. The NFL should add to their rules that no player under contract can promore or be a member of BLM or the black panthers. If an NFL player did a news presser after a game; wearing the KKK insignia or shirt. How fast would he be fired?

what would that do relative to kneeling protests?
