What on earth could have stopped that>> Nothing but an EMERGENCY declared by the SOTH - and then 'poof' - as if by MAGIC, an EMERGENCY was declared and those procedures eliminated all other debate. Don't forget the fake "PIPE BOMB" contingency that would have been activated had they not been able to incite a "insurrection"/riot. So much skullduggery - by people who have NEVER EVER been known to do anything of the sort. In comparison to the DEMOCRATs - who are programmed to RIOT at the drop of a hat - ANYTIME the democrats find themselves in a political disadvantage they call out the RIOTERs to consume the attention of the nation for the next several months until the scare goes away. Nobody SAW an insurrection - but the DEMCORATs invented one.

You sound exactly like CNN trying to call a RIOT with burning and looting a mostly peaceful protest.

While i absolutely condemn both, at the end of the day, I do hold the US Capitol in higher regard than I do Tar-Jay (Target). So yes, quantitatively there may have been more BLM riots. But the mob that attempted to disrupt the peaceful transition of power through violence was far worse.

Every election cycle sees some representatives object to accepting the electoral votes from some states for various reasons - happens every election.

THe funny thing is that it is ALWAYS a Democrat who lodges the request to substitute elecotrs - but they never get the necessary support from other legislators.

THIS time there were SEVERAL GOP legislators ready to make objections to seating particular electors - and had alternate electors ready to submit.

HOWEVER, just moments before they could proceed to this phase of the NORMAL process, there happened to be this 'insurrection' that conveniently (for Nancy Pelosi) allowed the Speaker of the House to declare they have to go to SPECIAL PROCEDURES and SKIP the 'objection phase' -

How CONVENIENT for the DEMOCRATs - they get to just IGNORE the massive amount of normal procedures THIS time -

In other words, this 'insurrection' just removed ANY chance of LEGALLY challenging the electors as has happened at EVERY OTHER election where it was the DEMOCRATs offering the alternate electors.

How convenient indeed. And brought to you by the efforts of a few Democrats plants embedded within the massive group of PEACEFUL protesters there to show SUPPORT for the GOP legislators in the NORMAL process.

What was ABNORMAL this time was the ABSENCE of that part of the NORMAL process were members of congress can offer alternate electors for consideration.

What was ABNORMAL was that THIS time the GOP actually HAD alternate electors to present - but they were NOT allowed to get to that portion of the proceeding because of the "insurrection" - and JUST IN TIME --- in another minute, it would have been in process.

But that nasty "insurrection" stopped ALL procedures and the congress never got the chance to LEGALLY challenge the result of that OBVIOUSLY fraudulent election.

Therefore, the "insurrectionists" STOPPED the process they were "insurrecting" to achieve. === makes zero sense.

Especially when in retrospect it is OBVIOUS to any rational observer that the 2020 election REALLY WAS stolen - and we actually have been living under a INSURRECTION regime for the past 3 years.

No way that degenerate piece of garbage Joe Biden got "81000000 votes" but had to rely on special circumstances in 5 separate locations to squeak by with 30,000 votes under 'late night counting sessions with NO supervision' in a process that trashed DOZENS of established legal procedures.
