I always thought the #1 responsibility of a teacher was to teach and promote learning of their primary focus (reading, writing, math, science, etc.).

OK, so let me put myself in the shoes of one of those so-called trans kids.
The first thing I would want to know is what happened to that innocent child to make him or her begin questioning things like gender/sex?
Kids don't just have such thoughts naturally. Those that have those thoughts have experienced something that children should not experience, or they are being pushed into it by a parent looking for vittue signalling points.
