quote:Indeed.
Sounds like they are learning it themselves, from the source.
The problem being, they've been told for 80+ years Hitler's public personna was that of a raving lunatic screaming obtuse blether at his audience. Now they see those characterizations were an overt misrepresentation. So the unfortunate extension is, "If they lied to us about that, maybe they lied to us about Hitler being evil."
Just as ... if they lied to us about the Covid vax, maybe they lied to us about all vaccines.

Users have pushed and even celebrated the Nazi leader’s remarks in what is an apparent violation of TikTok’s guidelines that ban “promoting (including any praise, celebration, or sharing of manifesto) or providing material support to … individuals who cause serial or mass violence, or promote hateful ideologies.”
Let's not think Trump won't fall under this one day. Fricking snowflake leftie democrats.
I bet they won't cause a stink over Stalin's, Marx, Mao, Che, etc getting their speeches translated b

In the history books, the good guys always win.

Hitler's number 1 priority was protecting Germany

Hitler's number 1 priority was protecting Germany and germans from outside interventionists looking to undermine the country.
But that was the yarn he effectively spun, and it's damn important to realize why he could spin it.
Unfortunately, after being lied to for their entire lives, people are hearing for the first time what sounds to be a rational man, presenting reasonable thoughts, and some will reflexively conclude "Hitler wasn't so bad."

He chose bad methods for his laudable goal.

The passage of the Enabling Act after the Reichstag fire was a pretty big tell too.
Everyone should be alarmed when a politician consolidates power into a single person or small cabinet.

Barbarossa was a pre-emptive strike against a Soviet invasion of Europe. Remember, Stalin had already invaded Finland, Poland, the Baltic states, and was demanding to put troops into Romania, who was allied with Germany.
Stalin had also planned to allow Germany to fight a long, drawn out war against the Allies and for both to be weakened, then attack with the massive Red Army.

Did anyone else invade Poland before 1941?
trying to think here.
It’s like Stalin got half of it and someone else got the other half.
it was such an even split it was almost like they made a deal or something.

Think if Hitler had the transportation means of today back then. Australia would have Jew tunnels from Brisbane to Perth.

Autocorrect thing obviously, but could you redo the question?

Dude, we relied on the history books for the last 50 years and it was pure propaganda. Why did i never see a transcript? never see subtitles? i was told he was ranting crazy mean old man...... but those transcripts sound very rational. Also sounds very similar to what i am seeing in todays America. really makes you think.
What schools did you go to? That’s not how Hitler was taught in my schools. We learned about how ww2 was essentially an extension of ww1 (treaty of Versailles) and the issues in Germany that allowed Hitler to rise to power. His skill as a persuasive orator was always acknowledged.
What I don’t get is how people here are failing to understand Hitler’s speeches within their historical context - they’re propaganda. His words are chosen for a reason, primarily to manipulate and gather support for his desires. They may or may not reflect his true beliefs. It’s what he needed to tell the German population to get what he wanted. I see the same with how Putin’s speeches are accepted as gospel as well. It’s crazy how easy some people are to manipulate.

The very same Poland the allies went to war over?!? Surely not. If the Soviets had invaded Poland Winston Churchill would have definitely declared war on the Soviets! Because that is why they went to war with Germany!
Poland’s sovereignty is sacred, it’s why the war was fought, and it’s why after the war the allies allowed Poland to become the most free and prosperous democracy in the world

Different discussion. Saying Hitler invaded Russia because Russia invaded Poland is making excuses for Hitler.
But yeah, Hitler invading Poland First and being a neighbor of France put them way higher in England and France’s priority list.
They had already declared war on Germany when Russia invaded.
