Thoughts on Muslim Community Patrol?

I'm not sure how to feel about this. It's self funded and staffed with volunteers.

If it's a community watch, who cares? If they are arresting people and running Sharia courts, like they do in the UK, then frick that noise.

So in some countries these are used to intimidate Muslims who step outta line or outsiders who enter the community. If they are watching out for crime I don’t care.

Well, just my observations... Their choice of uniforms and vehicles are fashioned in a manner to resemble police uniforms and vehicles... Apparently the vehicles have red and white lights, rather than blue and white...
The uniform, the fashioned badge, and the vehicles gives them the appearance of being cops whether they want the appearance or not...
The other issue is apparently, the muslim community was not informed about this and many do not want it... So, I would have to say that communication on their part needs to be better all the way around...
