Thoughts On Attacking ISIS In Syria?

Apparently, the ISIS headquarters (if you can say that) is located in Syria. Would there be in merit in Obama telling Syria, you either handle this problem quickly in your country or we will handle it in your country for you?**
If they don't deal with the problem, we should bomb this area of Syria into oblivion.
**I recognize he has given and backed away from ultimatums in the past relative to Syria. If Obama were to take this approach, perhaps he would gain respect lost in that debacle.

Considering we've been trying to overthrow him, I doubt we have much leverage with Assad.

It's time to let the private sector have a shot. Congress should issue Letters of Marque commissioning private companies to build their own mercenary force and let them deal with ISIS.
The government can supply weapons on credit that will be paid back with part of the booty captured, including oil, gold or whatever they can get their hands on of value.

Assad is barely even fighting ISIS, and the only reason he is fighting them is to "show the West" that he really is fighting a terrorist insurgency.

Joe Scarborough says Obama playing golf right after the Foley presser was a show of strength by our administration. A big "Up yours!" to ISIL. So, I'm assuming ISIL is doing some deep introspection after being served like that.

Assad used ISIS to eliminate legitimate opposition to his regime, thinking he could easily deal with ISIS after they destroyed all of the other rebel groups. He even went so far as to coordinate with ISIS on airstrikes against rival rebel factions. Now, he sees that they are a much bigger threat than he anticipated. He would love us to rid him of this monster he helped to create.
