Military power is one thing. We win that easy. Now put us on the ground face to face in trench warfare, I'm not so sure we could go man to man with Russia.

Our military capabilities are not in question. Our leadership is.

The stuff I’ve seen in Ukraine has been very rough looking

I think the average army guy and average marine now is less by a bit.

id say the navy overall is way way better now. and the marine officer Corp is better.

the usaf is at its best now.

overall better now.
training and materials and tech all better by a lot

Hilarious that this board has a bunch of people who consider themselves "America First" and a post that is positive about America's military gets all downvotes.

We have the best military in the world but we are really doing the best we can to frick that all up under Biden and the woke mafia. They want the military to be all about inclusion and safe spaces where you won’t get your feelings hurt. We need soldiers, not trans freaks and the idiots that want to be called by their personal pronouns. Do you think if we went to war with China that they would stop on the battlefield to ask your personal pronouns before they fricking kill you? It’s madness.

"I served. It’s not our military I am concerned about it’s our leaders and how that impacts our military. Just one veterans personal opinion."

Any dumb arse who would go to foreign soil to fight for an organization that forced them to take the Covid poison, needs to be educated, or removed form the gene pool.
I served seven years in the 60's as a deterrent to prevent the Soviet Union from launching a preemptive nuclear attack.
Then, years later I realized, the Submarine I was own was built by a company partially owned by President Lyndon Johnson.
While I was in port, off patrol, the Israeli military attacked a US Communication ship, USS Liberty, in the Mediterranean, killing several sailers and wounding many others. Our government did nothing but hide the evidence to protect Israel.
Our government/military leaders do not give one shite about their protectors/enlisted men.

it's because they disagree. what does that have to do with being america first? i'm sure you think you are making some kind of solid point here, but i am not sure what it is.

i consider myself america first, and i disagree with the post because i think it is way overly optimistic.

it's realistic, we have been spending more on our military than the next strongest countries combined for decades now.

This isn't 1000 AD where armies strength is based on how many bodies you can have in the field swinging sticks at each other, we have air craft carries, jets, and drones that other countries can't match and are protected by oceans on each side.

Best at wasting money. Best at creating disabled people (they all leave the military with a disability).

Pentagon needs to move away from the standard .556 cartridge to something bigger - like the 6.5 or 6.8

Yes, I served. I personally think the U.S. military is the greatest fighting force on the planet.
But incompetent leaders like the Commander & Thief, Joe Biden and his shite show puppets, Austin & Milley, are deadset on bringing it down.
Imagine a company of Buttigiegs fighting a fierce enemy.
They'd get pounded, for sure.

Because our military is the antithesis to "America first."

Its built for global domination, not for you and I.

The moment America is forced to institute a draft is the moment America settles for a draw. At best.

Which is why "America First" should be calling for drawback, not growth.

I have been saying this, almost word for word, for some time now. The US military that exists in the mind of the "those who sleep peacefully in their beds at night" is a product of hollywood-like production value propaganda.

I too have been saying this for a long while. The cockiness, and hubris that americans have in regards to china is scary. If the day comes that we go to war with china, it won't be easy. It will be a fight for our very existence. Americans need to wake up. We should be very, very scared.

We would 100 percent lose in a war with China and Russia and it would not be close. Our advantage has been our aircraft carriers but those are now obsolete and would be destroyed with hypersonic weapons in the first week of a true war.

We have hypersonic weapons as well. We have everything and more than what the Chinese and Russians have. I’m not so sure we would 100% lose in a war with either of them. Ground war would be total hell but in a missile war, I think our odds would be pretty good.

I just find it hard to believe that the Chinese or Russians are more advanced with military technology than we are, and isn’t that what would give us the edge in a missile war anyways?

They aren't. But they aren't bound by bleeding hearts like we are either.

We will pussy foot around like we've been doing for 70 years.
