Exactly. Drain the balls of Thomas who you’ve never even voted for. Send him a donation while you’re at it.

Spending related items that were in the bill. Some were used. Some were not.
1. Discretionary Spending Caps
The law established statutory limits on federal discretionary spending for the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years, with non-binding targets for 2026–2029.
Fiscal Year 2024: Capped base discretionary funding at $1.59 trillion. This included $886 billion for defense (a 3% increase) and $704 billion for non-defense programs.
Fiscal Year 2025: Allowed for a 1% increase in total discretionary spending to approximately $1.606 trillion.
Automatic 1% Cut Trigger: A unique provision mandated that if Congress failed to pass all 12 regular appropriations bills by the end of the year, an automatic across-the-board 1% cut to all accounts would be triggered.
2. Rescissions of Unobligated Funds
The FRA clawed back billions in previously authorized but unspent money:
COVID-19 Relief: Rescinded approximately $28 billion in unobligated emergency funding from various pandemic stimulus packages.
IRS Funding: Immediately rescinded $1.4 billion from the $80 billion allocated to the IRS by the Inflation Reduction Act. Subsequent agreements reached in late 2023 and early 2024 further reduced this funding by a total of $20 billion.
3. Work Requirement Changes
The Act expanded work requirements for federal assistance programs, aiming for long-term savings:
SNAP (Food Stamps): Raised the age for "able-bodied adults without dependents" subject to work requirements from 50 to 54.
TANF: Modified the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program to tighten work participation rules for states.
4. Other Fiscal Measures
Student Loan Repayments: Formally ended the pandemic-era moratorium on federal student loan interest and payments as of August 31, 2023.
Administrative PAYGO: Reinstated rules requiring the executive branch to offset any new administrative actions that increase spending with corresponding cuts.
Permitting Reform: Included measures to expedite environmental reviews for energy projects, such as the Mountain Valley Pipeline, intended to lower long-term energy-related costs.

Hmm. My direct Oklahoma rep, Bice, will be along again this season for another "town hall" in my little community like she always does.
I'll be sure to bring this up, like I've brought up other bonehead moves she's made in the past. I honestly don't know how my RSVP keeps getting approved.

How many times has Massie shite so far today? Might as well give the full rundown on this irrelevant rep this board can't stop talking about for some reason.

Right. So he didn’t get the cuts he said were the reason he voted with the Dems. Do you think it was a wise vote?

You don’t like Massie or care that he is a hypocrite. Your only virtue is OMB. You’re a useful idiot and a pawn of the left.
Nice. Especially loved the "pawn of the left" jab. (Or purse flail

I know facts aren’t your forte.
Much like the above assessment of me, then?
Here's are a couple of facts:
Thomas Massie is a social, fiscal and common sense conservative whose focus has always been "America First & Only.
Donald J. Trump has no discernible political philosophy or platform; If anything he's a Big Gubmint spending neocon-technocratic Globalist -- kinda like if Jeb were President. And no, "Making America Great Again" isn't actually making good on any of that; it's always been just empty rhetoric and empty slogan for the desperate and gullible.

He got some cuts but not all.
How many times have we raised the debt ceiling and got no cuts at all?

Worry about Georgia they’re fricking everyone else over while you defend Massie

Do you like Javier Milei? Do you think what he is doing in Argentina is working?
The reason Massie is popular, with some, is because ideologically he is closest thing we have to Milei.
It really has nothing to do with TDS. I know you badly want it to be.

Right. So he didn’t get what he was promised for his vote. Was his vote wise? Did he get duped?

If the Zapato fits. It’s no secret you Panicans are constantly repeating leftists talking points like the good little useful idiots you are.

With terminal TDS and a proclivity of voting with Dems when it really matters.

Enjoy your tax cut and deportations.

Answer some questions.
How many times in our history has the debt ceiling not been raised? How many?
How many times under the Trump administration has the debt celing been raised with spending cuts? How many?
I believe you said yourself raising the debt ceiling should be used as leverage for spending cuts which is what happened with Massie's vote. So Massie did something that you yourself said should be done.

Most supposed MAGA supporters couldn't live with Milei's platform. There was a thread here earlier talking about choosing Fetterman over Massie. A guy who won PA via fraud, supports abortion on demand, opposes gun rights and is a Bernie Sanders acolyte when it comes to monetary and economic policy, is apparently more MAGA than a guy who is the most conservative member of Congress based on his voting record.

Why? I simply am pointing out a fact that you don’t like. You think Massi’s vote was wise. I’m not sure how I feel. I do think calling him fiscally conservative is off, though. Given his record. The facts are the facts. You can attempt to justify them, but it doesn’t change them.

Can you provide an example of someone else who God sent to save people but didn't succeed? That makes God seem fallible, which tends toward blasphemy.

He is probably the most fiscally conservative member of the House. Given his record.
