This should put an end to the assault weapons ban talk.

Seung-Hui Cho shot and killed 32 people and wounded 17 at Virginia Tech University in 2007. That's almost twice as many people killed as the recent shooting.
Did he also use one of those scary looking assault rifles with 30 round magazines?
Nope. He used 2 semi-auto pistols. A 9mm and a 22LR with only 15 and 10 round magazines.
So for those of you who say that a ban on assault weapons will prevent mass shootings, remember this.

Yep, that’s why you can’t budge an inch.
We had an “assault rifle” ban, it did nothing to curb violence or death by firearm.
There is not a gun problem, there is a human condition problem.

Come on bh...we all know what REAL issue is here. Same as the 'compassion card' when it comes to open border immigration.
The Left are Democratic Authoritarian Socialist, Globalist version. The need poor Immigrants who will VOTE Socialist Dem, and they need to get rid of the WEAPONRY that would prevent Authoritarian Democracy ("mob rule") from being imposed on Constitutional/Freedom-loving America.
The Founders saw this very clearly. And now, Trump Nation does. The Dems/MSM still believe there are enough Swing Votes ("dupes and useful idiots") that can be fooled into voting Dem. It's the old "you can keep you doctor" ploy.
Bottom line. There will be a shooting war if Government - of the kind we currently witness in the former politically-weaponized Obama Regime - if said government tries to take the guns that ultimately ensures Constitutional American Rights. Rights that they believe come from God.
You are right in one respect; it should put an end to gun confiscation talk per the Right...but it won't. There is always that 10% wishy-washy, virtue-signaling group like the Never-Trumpers...that will go soft and fold.
Trump will fix this school shooting thing. Trained shooters and hardened entrances at schools, and snatching the socio-paths off the street before they blow is the ticket. And just like REAL Immigration Reform...a matter of dragging the disingenuous Dems into water that is over their head. Trump can win this one.

Step 1: Ban assault rifles.
Step 2: Ban semi-automatic handguns.
Step 3: Next type of gun on the list.

An assault weapons ban would be a continuation of the erosion of gun rights in this country that’s been going on at least since 1934.
Banning assault weapons would not be the end, just the next step. Handgun ban coming.

I had a one armed uncle that hunted quail with a double barrel 20 ga that was from the late 1800s. He could pop off two rounds and be reloaded within 5 seconds. Any gun can be an "assuault weapon" with the right user.
