This night is HUGE long term for Conservatives

1. The senate is completely secure AT LEAST through 2022
2. The House is going to put Pelosi or some other complete moron as speaker giving Trump ammunition and something to attack (what he is best at) to rally the base - increasing the chances he gets re-elected.
3. Multiple liberal Supreme Court justices are dropping off the court in the next 4 years
When all is said and done, the SC is on its way to being heavily conservative and Trump has a better chance of being re-elected.
This night is a win for republicans.

It’s a win for the long game, there won’t be a wall or tax cuts, but yeah Trump can run on it

He now has a reason for not having the wall. A comeback in the debates.
The tax cuts - those stay. Trump can just veto the House if they try to end them.

He had two years to get a wall and failed.

Yep, but that didn’t stop Obama running on the same defense for his shortcomings despite having the senate and the House his first two years.
Obama did the same exact thing. Trump will too.

True but they can't get extended or reduced more either.

The status quo is more or less a win for conservatives.

Doesn't even need to veto, won't even pass the Senate. Turtle won't even bring it for debate. Both chambers of congress must pass a bill to pass it to the president

They have a couple of months to pass part 2. I think that is already in the works.

2 less years of Trump getting anything done? I think Democrats see that as a victory.

It’s a win for the long game

If The Republicans get 55 in the senate, that is a gigantic win for Trump. And it looks possible.
