I'm amazed that lefties want to go down that road with Biden, the king of gaffes, on their ticket.
It certainly wasn't his best speaking moment but people sometimes say stupid things when off the cuff and unscripted.

Anyone defending Trump making this idiotic statement about disinfectants and then using sarcasm as a reason for it has their head in the sand. Come on man. That was just plain stupid during this time in the early stages of the recovery process. Like an earlier poster wrote: He’s hard to defend. Birx & Fauci must be infuriated having to work with this loose cannon. What is he going to say next?

I wonder if Krugman thinks Trump is at fault for the global recession now underway?
After all... Krugman was predicting a global recession and a U.S. recession if Trump was elected. He advised people to get out of the market.

You're right about this.
Although there really is no defending the stupidity and sloppiness of his delivery, the concept of "blood cleansing" or the treatment of disease through injected toxic chemicals isn't unreasonable and as a layman (which he is) broaching the topic is fine. A smarter person however would've simply asked "Are there injectable chemical treatments for something like this"?
Chelation therapy for instance "cleanses" the blood of metals and some pretty dangerous toxic chemicals are injected into our bodies to treat cancer. So the Onion Loaf isn't beyond the pale discussing injectable chemical treatments for disease or the concepts of "internal cleansing".
The problem is that he has no gate on his mouth, he speaks to things better left to experts and because he's a bad politician, his delivery is often sloppy and unintelligent.
Alot of Trump supporters are actually cultists. Because only a cultist will defend every single action or word of his leader.
A reasonable Trump supporter would acknowledge he shite himself on this badly and recognize he deserves all this criticism. This is a major point and laugh moment and he has it coming.
This is what he gets for "brainstorming" on matters of medicine and infectious disease.
I'd love to hear his thoughts on space aliens and ghosts.
