Arpaio is helping to split up the extreme right vote and make sure McSally wins the nomination. Control of the senate will come down to fielding good candidates that people can vote for.

After the Roy Moore debacle in Alabama, Kelli Ward is too big of a risk in a state that Trump only won by less than five percent even though I would have no problem at all personally voting for her.

Please, Republicans. Don’t get all rational now.

McSallly is a combat veteran with a conservative voting record that's while not exactly the second coming of Barry Goldwater is still pretty serviceable and she hasn't gone out of her way to piss off conservatives/Trump voters and the President himself.

Good enough for me.

Remember, we want to keep control of the senate more than we do the house when that chamber is the personnel chamber. Presidential nominations including SCOTUS picks go there.

It's going to a runoff, and Arpaio is going to win.

This guy makes Roy Moore seem almost rational.

Been following her career for awhile. She is conservative but not mad about it. She is brutally honest in answering questions and doesn't spew the party talking points. She has been critical of Trump about some of his tweets but has a very consistent voting record in favor of conservative causes. I think she is the only "R" in the primary that can hold this seat. Sinema is going to be a tough candidate to beat.

Really liking her:

Dems are holding funding discussions ‘hostage’: Rep. McSally

She was sitting near Trump in that famous televised meeting:

odds are we will keep both and even have gains in the Senate

the fact that we held control over most House Legislatures in most states right after the census means that the congressional district lines work in our favor almost everywhere

I do think we lose a little ground in the House (which is typical for midterms); but don't think we outright lose the House

and picking up seats in the Senate is very probable, no matter what happens in AZ

put I agree that we need McSally to win

She has been a big advocate for more border security and support for border agents. Her district is around the Tucson area and she’s been supported by the ranchers who have tried to stop illegals from trespassing on their land. She has always side stepped “the wall” question but when asked directly about it at her announcement press conference she said she would support a wall. She also refused to condemn the “sh**thole” comment. She said “closed door discussions get a little salty” sometimes.
