I believe she was their only child as that was the law back then.

I also believe the policy was still in effect when she had her child.

The thing is she wanted to live in the U.S. as well as raise he daughter here.

She told me how she required her daughter to learn a subject over the summer on her own so she was raising her as if they were in China.

Ya gotta admire a parent that insists on discipline and hard work from the kid.
