It's ill-informed dumbasses like you that have this country in the condition it's in currently.

It's the likes of Grassley, Coker, and Flake who are holding things up.
Delaying the vote by a week isn’t the end of the world. Grassley knows what he’s doing.
We’ll see how dedicated Senator Flake is to making this a personal FU to Trump pretty quickly.

Yep, it is almost like these Dems don't want to revisit history on SCOTUS nominations... Thomas and Bork vs Sotamayor and Kagan... Night and day difference but until the Republicans wake up and realize that no matter how much ground they give, how nice they are, the Dems will NEVER return the favor... Only bitch and attempt to derail over and over...

He’s a pathetic loser who was probably in a union and had some menial position of leadership where he had to swallow large helpings of propaganda on a daily basis that he has now incorporated into his worldview.
He’s a collectivist through and through.

You're right, the delay is not the issue.
If either Flake or Corker decides this is a fitting FU to Trump then that would be enough to stall the nomination in committee.
I don't trust either of those political cretins.

Flake isn’t McCain. He doesn’t have the ability to survive in the wild world of post- politics. He’s not going to be happy about it, but I think he’ll do the right thing in the end. But for probably the wrong reasons.

Also, I love how y’all see the malicious destruction of a person’s character as equatable to postponing for an election.

They know this.
This is where you can learn a lot just by paying attention to their sociopathic behavior.
They are trained to lie, bend rules, break rules, and destroy. When their tactics are turned around back on them, this is how they respond.

Don't act like we haven't done likewise with tit for tat bullshite. This last delay with bs testimony is keeping a good judge from a vote.

The republicans are just scared to say or do anything.
That's the difference between our party and theirs.
They get things done. We cower in perpetual fear.

Tell me the last SCOTUS nominee that you have seen put through a bullshite hearing that was nominated by a Dem POTUS... Ill hang up and listen...

Either they have a vote on record, which is bad but puts the issue behind them, or they have a vote upcoming, which is worse because people don’t trust any politician who just faced reelection to do the right thing.
Anyone who thinks that a Dem who gets re-elected in November will follow their constituents’ wishes instead of the party’s wishes just got a huge fricking reminder in the way of McCain in why people don’t trust politicians.
Another point to consider is that what happens if the Republicans hold the house (all democrats are as sure of their retaking it as they were that SHE would win).
And the Republicans pickup a couple seats in the Senate. Then the Flakes and Collins of the Senate will have far less power because their vote would not be needed anyway.
(And then RBG croaks and Amy gets to take her seat. )
Posted on 9/18/18 at 9:48 am to alphaandomega
The Flakes and Collinses will already be diluted because Flake and Corker are gone no matter what.
On top of that, we traded McCain for Kyl. While I don’t like Kyl, he is far more reliable than McCain ever was.
