So, his problem was 100% solely focused on the abject failure that was leaving Afghanistan and not on the obvious woke trend of the US military.

He's right. Not for his comments.. but because he's smart enough to 'git after trump', in a military that is now woke. Support from trump will sink you if you're already in trouble with the military or permanent government.

Well good for him. If he believes it is turning into political and he does not want it to be. It sort of really is in his best interest not to take support. It goes against his argument of the military needs to be non political.

He said he hated the way Trump divided this country. Then he lost the support of Trump supporters so he posted a follow up and lied saying he didn’t mean to say that.
This was all before he was arrested.
He trashed the man trying to help him in an establishment that’s trying to destroy him.

His statement was a political statement, so stop with this "non political" stuff. He could have kept his mouth shut and refused any help from Trump. However, he, instead, made an anti-Trump (ergo "political") statement.
