Trying to figure out what he wants...
He drew attention to himself through his statement. Accountability is needed, true, but one man going against the machine is probably not going to bring it about.
I know he presumably wants to remain apolitical, but he needs allies to bring attention to his cause. What does he hope to accomplish by alienating a wide swathe of people?

With such a wide range of language available, this is childish and emotion based. I had expected more from him.
A simple "thanks, but no thanks" would have presented much better optics.
