There is not burning bushes speaking to me

How about this. Ill pray for you right now. Ill ask Him to make Himself undeniable to you tonight. Youll see your burning bush. If not, feel free to write off God forever

I feel led to say this and it may be weird for a message board, but if you are a Christian reading this, please pray right now, specifically for the nonbelievers in this thread. We will have some new believers after tonight

The left absolutely takes it as weakness. They mock your god and slaughter your children.

But yeah, turn the other cheek.

These same lefties will also invite the Muslims that will destroy you. Are you going to just turn the other cheek when your churches get burnt down and your women raped?

Did you not read what I said? Did I not say that turning the other cheek doesn't mean we don't want justice? What would you have me, and others, to do? Go out in the streets and start shooting people? Is that the response you want? What do you plan to do? You talk as though you have the answers, but I didn't hear any ideas from you.

There is a difference between justice, and blind rage. God will not be mocked, and rest assured whatever justice is due, will be done in His timing. So I don't lose sleep over who mocks me and my God. It bothers me for people that they are so ignorant that they would mock God, but my own feelings are not hurt by it.

Fighting the good fight means staying the course and doing what we are commanded to do, knowing full well that God is in control. Becoming desperate and seeking pay back is not going to get us anywhere. Pray for justice, and if someone threatens us personally, by all means we should protect ourselves and our families. Stop erroneously claiming that having a sound mind and a forgiving heart means that we just want people to run free. We can't, however, just start rampaging.

We love OUR enemies.

“See now that I, even I, am he,
and there is no god beside me;
I kill and I make alive;
I wound and I heal;
and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
For I lift up my hand to heaven
and swear, As I live forever,
if I sharpen my flashing sword
and my hand takes hold on judgment,
I will take vengeance on my adversaries
and will repay those who hate me.
I will make my arrows drunk with blood,
and my sword shall devour flesh—
with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the long-haired heads of the enemy.

Rejoice with him, O heavens;
bow down to him, all gods,
for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries.
He repays those who hate him
and cleanses his people’s land.”

If God was real and had any power, he should destroy his enemies like he claims he can.

I get the sentiment but...

quote:

We ARE to hate those who hate God.

That's not biblical at all

King David, a man after God's own heart:

quote:

19 Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
20 They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
22 I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies.

Sorry to bump my own thread but I feel led to post this. If you are Christian, please specifically for unbelievers in this thread and on this board. I think God's hand is moving right now.

Stop with this. Seriously. No amount of time praying, fasting, dancing the isles, prayer cloths, etc changes anything. Whatever happens, happens. Full stop.

The most insane part of this mindset is when whatever the subject matter is does or doesn't happen, the response is “its Gods will”?!? Huh. You’re lying to yourself.

I’m not prescribing that applying principles from the Bible will not help your life. They will. But so will the million of self help books at Ollie’s.
