You’ll be able to contrast this field with 2008 Obama and 2016 Hillary and realize “Holy shite, they were positively moderate by comparison”.

Thats funny right there, I don't care who you are.

No shite it’s not “free”. Everyone understands the concept of taxes paying for public services. It’s easier to say that instead of going more in depth literally every time you bring it up.

Stupid frick

Things change. Our demographics are moving in a way that favors the left big time. I’m not advocating what OP is saying but if this shift left doesn’t concern you, you’re being purposely obtuse or you probably agree with some of it. ( that seems likely)

Trump had the house, the senate, and the presidency his first two years and all I heard was how he couldn't get the things he wanted done because of the Rinos and Dems.

Same with Obama.

It is terrible that this magnificent experience is 2 to 6 years away from being destroyed.

Feel bad for my kids.

Meh, some of that is demographics, a bigger portion of that is the average age of voters.

If the theory that this board supports, that people get naturally more conservative as they get older, is true, then this "problem" will solve itself.

That theory goes hand in hand with people having kids, buying land, not being balls deep in student loan debt, etc.

Latinos vote D at 65-75% clips and are being poured in.

Did that happen?

I mean, if you're comfortable with a literal handful of votes (and immigration policy) being the difference between Medicaid for all, massive tax hikes, the Green new deal, etc. More power to you.

It was a slow march here. Both of your examples worked on shifting the Overton window.

It wasn’t slow at all, it happened very, very quickly. The Democratic Party platform changed very little from 1968 through 2008. Barack Obama’s views on things like abortion, gay marriage, student debt, banking, etc. changed dramatically from 2008 to 2012 and it was almost entirely reactionary.

The Democratic Party platform was hijacked and dragged to this point, it had very little to do with proactive measures on the part of mainstream party leadership. The media has had the biggest impact, not the politicians.

Why is it that you are never "moderate" in regards to leftist policy or politicians? I mentioned your schtick earlier because you seem to be afraid to state who/what you support.

Did he do that? You try way too hard to appear moderate. It's quite silly.

That is something that'll keep people from the first two things I mentioned. Things that take people out of fantasy land. Compound the debt with politicians offering the magic pill and your assertion is worthless.
