Condom.

I’m not from the 60’s

Condoms aren't completely 100% foolproof either.

It's possible to get pregnant even with a condom being used.

There is no birth control that works 100% of the time.

The circumstances have a lot to do with it.

At a party with friends where you are looking to hook up? At the levee on a weekend drinking and she comes up to you? In a normal social situation?

I can see that argument. I still think it is wrong, but I can see the argument.

Left alone in a hotel room with a woman you think is going to help your career in a meeting you brought your family to and she takes advantage of you? That is a different story.

Sex can leave you vulnerable and full of feelings. A 17 year old can easily be taken advantage of and have no idea how to navigate those feelings and state of vulnerability.

At minimum can we agree on that?

I’m aware.

I’m just saying I had a similar experience, but only a 5 year age difference. We stayed together for awhile.

I was quite clear at 17 any consequences

I thought you routinely advocated for the reality of the rape and sexual abuse of boys and young men? Do I have you confused with another poster?

Yes.

Granted, I started working at 14, like real jobs

So I feel I was better able to handle things than this actor was.

But I concede the idea you bring up

You had an experience with a woman you knew and the two of you stayed together afterwards and worked through feelings and a relationship and growth.

This kid was just abused and then tossed out.

Can you see the differences?

Well sure.

But do we know he had feelings regarding this?

Or did he just have good sex?

You assume to much.

I’m just saying how I would have felt about it. Different strokes I guess

You and me both. I can remember having to obtain a work permit to work a full time job in the summer when I was 15 and then continue during the school year.

He was 17. When I was his age I was a private at Ft. Knox, KY training to go to Germany during the Cold War.

So you really do not care at all?

All of times I have read your posts about abuse and your personal accounts of fear and feelings you did not know how to deal with and you have become just as jaded and twisted as the abusers you so claim to be against. That is sad man.

Wrong. Protecting kids from abuse is something I’m passionate about still. So much so that I’m a patch holding member of Bikers Agaisnt Child Abuse. But this was not child abuse. He was 17 freaking years old. If he’d have wanted her to stop, he’d have made her stop.

It’s all good with me. I hate sky screaming.

You make points that have measure. I respect that.

I disagree based on my own life, but that can’t be the end all I suppose

Enjoy your continued argument

the law says it is statutory rape.

would you have a problem with a 34 year old man nailing a 17 year old girl? 16?

this is a story because this slut started the #metoo movement while making payments to an underage kid she sexually assaulted.

But this was not child abuse

An underage kid showing up to what he thinks is a business meeting and then getting fricked in a hotel room by a person who has a prior powerful and influential relationship over him and tossed out to later have feelings of" extremely confusion, mortified, and disgusted” does not fit your definition of child abuse? Seriously? This young man's entire experience is invalid to you because you possibly would have handled the situation differently?

This seems to directly conflict with this following statement. And in fact that is the exact line used by many abusers and enablers to dismiss the stories of young men who get abused.

I just find that depressing. I always appreciated your offense and posts against the thought process that young men cannot be molested or abused. It is sad that you can not see the abuse here. You need to do some reflection and realize you may be wrong here.

I know. 99.9% of normal 17 year olds would count their blessing and keep their mouth shut.

But like I've said, Genders reversed what is it? It's statutory rape-- which is sexual assault.

I can agree to this point somewhat, since they had a mom/son relationship based on their texts/tweets.

Yes. I take my expierance and apply it to anyone. Is that fool proof? No

See, this is the issue with your argument. Why do you assume it was abuse? And why don’t you think you may be wrong?

You realize he asked for 3.5 million.....to have sex at 17 with a sexy woman at the time.

I mean come ON!!!
