It's not wrong at all. I understand perfectly. I ask myself that question from time to time.
The Democrat Lie Machine generated false quotes that they attributed to Rush Limbaugh. These completely fabricated "quotes" were always amplified in Leftist-controlled mass media.
They did the same to Trump with the "Veterans are suckers and losers" quote. The thing is this: that notion that Vets are suckers and losers accurately describes how the Democratic Party looks at Veterans.
The Dems are in total control of the USA now, so - what did our Vets fight for - a country whose Rulers see them as suckers and losers.
Was it worth it? I wonder.

There are a lot more people here that can't say this that have more political influence than they should. And not particularly talking about people who come from south of the border. They at least get it as their ancestors went thru the same thing to come to the Americas. It's others that have come to this side of the world with no respect for how it came to be. South of the border got over took by what we are seeing now back in the mid 1900s, and it now made it up our way. As we got complacent, and held to how our Constitution will protect us and prevail. Sadly that is not the safety blanket anymore.
Ie...the overturning of the 1924 Immigration Act in 1965ish was definitely a major factor in this slide. OP I'm assuming your grandpappy grew up when that Act was in place.
The times, and views of the future were different.

In poker or chess you don't want to reveal your hand. You can count on that higher ups in the military have been thinking hard on this. Now I don't want an early morning visit from the f b i , but why go to DC ? Where is the real seat of power? Recall what happened to Bastogne during December of 1945? We have them surrounded, what do you do to a foe that is completely surrounded? Vicksburg, Port Hudson,Peterburg,Little Big Horn ? Now what I am laying out is hypothetical but everyone who has been in the military knows this. No shots have to be fired or should be.
