It does impact them, just less than adults.

I mean, people were very angry on this board yesterday about this news.

So, what, only non-American passport kids get the virus, how does that work?

DeSantis let's the counties dictate their futures and if a county and their residents want masks it's up to them; if they don't then they don't have to. He realizes 1 size doesn't fit all.

I am in Arizona and my kid is about to start 3rd Grade, she starts Aug 10.

Got this email from the Principal:

quote:

We are excited to welcome students, families, and volunteers back in to the building. We will be doing this with safety in mind. You will see in areas below we are recommending all un-vaccinated people wear masks while in the building. We will still be doing our best to provide space between students in the classroom and cafeteria. We will also be washing/sanitizing hands on a regular basis.

quote:

We will be following district guidance regarding masks. While recommended in certain situations, masks will be optional for the 2021-2022 school year. Despite many members of our community urging us to uphold a face mask requirement for those who are not eligible to be vaccinated, state law, which went into effect on July 1, 2021, prohibits school districts from implementing mask mandates.masks will be optional for the 2021-2022 school year.

They are also having a meet the teacher before school starts (we did not have the opportunity last year), but they are recommending only 1 parent per child

quote:

PV Schools will continue to follow the federal requirements for face masks on school buses. Bus routes are being updated.

quote:

Student Showing Symptoms: Will be sent home for 10 days. If they receive a negative test they can return to school. We will continue to offer testing for students at school when needed. Student Exposed To a Positive Case: Will be sent home for 10 days. Can be tested following day 5. If they receive a negative test after day 5 they can return to school. NO Online Options Available: There will be no online teaching options this year. If a students needs to stay home, we will provide work either via google classroom or in paper packets.

I am comfortable with the guidelines and look forward to my kids upcoming school year.

I read a statement by a doctor the other day saying it's way more harmful for a kid to wear a mask and re-inhale some of the carbon dioxide they just exhaled into their mask as opposed to possible inhaling covid germs.

Makes sense to me.

Context please. Are all 17 healthy or have preexisting conditions?

17 in the hospital would be 5% of the total number of children who have DIED in the US from China Virus. So shut up.

How does he protect his constituents from tyranny?

One good thing abbot did because we would be masking up in Houston if he didn’t
