How otherwise would you explain twins where one was gay and one was not? I am aware of two such sets.

In my personal opinion, homosexuality is at its core a sexual fetish.

i dont think this is far off.

how do you explain why some people are arse men or boob men? is it a choice?

Precisely. Homosexuality is, as I said in my opinion, a sexual fetish and no more special or worthy of protected status than any other sexual fetishes.

Are you suggesting "some" are made or make an informed choice to be gay later in life?

Yes, certainly there are people who do this.

Also, exactly what proof do you have that a newborn baby is gay the day it is born? It seems to me a newborn is interested in finding the tit or bottle, shitting, and sleeping when it is born.

I don't know about the day a person is born but based on the dimensions of an adult persons face a computer can tell with 90% accuracy if that person identifies as gay or straight.

So they don’t have to submit to that temptation to be gay then right? If they have a lifetime of homosexual temptation and never act on it they are still gay?

This doesn't make sense. Of course your temptation can define you if you allow it to. Doesn't mean you have to act on it.

You're probably not going to understand my viewpoint because I don't believe anyone "is gay." Being tempted by a particular sin does not define who you are, even if you live with that temptation your entire life, and even if you falter and give in to the temptation. Redemption exists for everyone. We're all just sinners in need of God's grace.

I realize you're trying to play a semantic game here, but the reality is you can "be gay" by simply saying you're gay. Who is going to follow you around and tell you otherwise?

this is 20 years ago information. this new study is just another that confirms the idea is silly

that doesn't mean they have total control over their likes and dislikes
yes they do. everyone has 100% control. now some things are harder to control than others. but no epigenetic tendency MAKES anyone do anything

I would tend to think that they can't just easily change their preference either
you tend to think incorrectly. of course they can. they're just giving in to the compulsion which no person has to do, no matter how hard it is to resist.

quote:

There are plenty of kids that are obviously homosexual even before they reach puberty
there's a monumental difference between effeminate and actually gay.

I once read an article that said after WWII the percentage of English babies that turned out to be homosexual took a sharp increase. Indicating that the mother being under stress due to bombing etc is possibly the cause of that increase
ah yes, the prenatal hormone theory. it's equally as silly as gay genes

They haven't found any evidence
oh there is definitely hard proof that people choose to be gay, that people are not born that way

Studies like this which show a strong genetic link and attributes other factors that are completely out of a person’s control are perfect.
that's not what "studies" show. not at all

At what age did you choose to be attracted to girls?
just because you're attracted to the same sex, which makes no sense, that doesn't mean you HAVE to act on it.
