Populism is antithetical to conservatism. Are there any books in your trailer park?
The onus is on you, define conservatism or what a conservative is.

No, but I certainly didn't vote for Hillary Clinton, either.

define conservatism or what a conservative is.
Traditionally in favor of conservative social values and expansive government in particular areas (police, military, etc.) and limited government in other areas (regulations, free trade, etc.)
Trumpism/MAGA only tangentially touches that and populism is going to require Leftist economic policies (again, what Trump promotes).

a political approach that strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups:

Working class Americans demand leftist economic policies from their leaders. Hence why unions are so associated with the DEMs.

Limited government conservatives are "anti-statist libertarians". That description, not mine, is from the right wing economist Hoppe. Pretty simple.

Less than 20-30% of working class Americans are in unions.....

Isn’t a massive chunk of current union membership public sector employees?

So you say. I think the numbers show barrister that more Americans are non union than union. Makes your statement bullshite.

OK. I said why unions are associated with DEMs and you respond with nothing of any substance.
Working class Americans demand leftist economic policies from their leaders, union or not.
Trumpism/MAGA is all about promising just this to get working class support.
I don't believe in Leftist economic policies, which has always been my biggest issue with Trump/MAGA

I've been in Union and non Union work environments and the majority of working class people I know are far more fiscally conservative, morally grounded than +90% of the Establishment Recucklicans in the Imperial City.

Aren't you backing the candidate(Trump) with leftist fiscal policy? A simple yes or no will suffice.

When you combine the teachers unions and government employees they are by far the single largest voting block of Union Dim voters.

Cool. They still demand leftist economic policies of their leaders. Trump is no different.
That's why populism and conservatism are at odds, unless you want to redefine "conservative" to mean "supports Leftist economic policies"
