Pretty much all of us DeSantis supporters voted twice for Trump and think he was a great president and was robbed of a second term by frickery in several swing states.

That being said, we think Trump’s negatives and disapproval numbers are just too much to overcome. Like it or not, he does not come off as likable by all leftists, many independents and even some conservatives. And although “likability” is not something that rational people should use when voting for a candidate, it’s reality. Just look at all of the fricking white suburban women who vote based on how a candidate looks and their feels. Even my leftist sister in Maryland said she’d vote for DeSantis over Biden. You think she’s the only one? She would never, ever vote for Trump.

It basically comes down to electability. We know DeSantis will win the general election if he gets the nomination. He’s more articulate and likable. He would definitely win the independent vote and get back a lot of the suburban women vote. And don’t give me your fricking bullshite excuses like he’s a RINO or he has no experience or he’s fake. You fricking loved him before he announced his run. He’s the most successful and popular conservative governor in the country. Y’all sound like Democrats that loved Trump before he ran for president and then declared him literally Hitler.

I’m 95% convinced DeSantis would win the GE. I’d give Trump a 50/50 chance, even if there is no cheating. It’s just the reality of our retarded voting populous.

And another thing that differentiates DeSantis and Trump supporters. If Trump wins the nomination, pretty much all DeSantis supporters here will vote for Trump in the GE. Can’t say the same for the Trump supporters. fricking sad.

Cut it out with this well thought out logical bullshite.

I'd take it one step further. I think Trump would be ok as a President, I just think he's in it for himself and his own ego as much as he is for any movement at this point. I just think Ron would be great and will gladly vote for him due to him making Florida a much better place to live for my family and I. I want a real conservative to be president.

I’ve read numerous quotes by Trump supporters on this fricking forum saying they wouldn’t vote for DeSantis if he wins the nomination.

Trump’s fricking crazy campaign bitch said on Twitter that she would campaign for Biden against DeSantis!

I don't think you know this. I think you believe this. Ron's problem is WI, MI, OH and PA, IMO. Trump is stronger in these states. Ron is stronger in AZ and GA. Don has work to do in all these states but especially AZ and GA.

Not in the Rustbelt.

I agree with this. There are a ton of white working class people that are Trump only voters especially in the Midwest and Southeast. It's not necessarily that they dislike Ron. It's they will not show up to the polls to vote. If Trump is not the nominee they will just check out politically simply out of being disinterested.

Honestly one of the more interesting aspects of the election to me. How many check out on both sides Trump wouldn't be the guy. I know Dems usually vote pretty lockstep in certain cohorts, but I think Trump brings out people that simply vote against him as well.

Trump lost three of these states, and Arizona and Georgia.

Meatball has an uphill battle in Michigan and Pennsylvania, but he's not going to lose Ohio, Arizona, or Georgia.

There isn’t a single state that Trump could win that DeSantis would not also win.

But there are a couple states that I think DeSantis could win that Trump can’t.

I support Trump but you make some good points and I would not hesitate to vote for DeSantis if he wins the nomination.
I just don't believe it is possible this cycle. Too many pissed about 2020 and want to see Trump's revenge.

Look at the downvotes to your completely reasonable positions.
