That's not just any hack "reporter" either. It's living legend Seymour Hersh.

That's quite a shift from your previous position that Russia did this to itself.
I never made a definitive claim one way or another.
I just showed that Russia doing it to itself wasn't absurd, given the geopolitical and international economic situation.

But our government/CIA/DOD etc certainly utilizes contractors for certain things in order to provide plausible deniability.

Right. Except the exact opposite is true. We NEVER use contractors for something sensitive.
The organization has tons of leverage with service members, especially senior people. Most special boys are senior in rank. And they believe in the mission and are loyal to the organization.

Which is funny when he's wrong, and still claims victory.
He just switches his desired outcome to match his failed logic.
The media with their "conspiracy theory" rampage really affected the soys.

I haven't read about that in years but I thought I remembered the Pakistani government throwing an epic hissy fit over the US doing that op without their approval/knowledge.

I am such a fan of CTs I was scolded by LSURussian in the past for having Collin discuss all his CTs. Russian blamed that for his ultimate suicide.

Doesn't the CIA typically shut down this type of factual reporting?
Not anymore. They feel secure knowing the MSM will label any outcry as Russian disinformation and lock them up as a threat to our democracy.

here are couple things most wont acknowledge
who is the best at propaganda?? the russians
who benifits from this coming out? the russians by dividing the germans against the rest of europe and possibly delaying tank deliveries so that can try and win their spring offensive.
also how do you galvanize your populace that is growing leary of war?? if you are the russians, you leak this
but yea lets trust a reporter who has missed on his last 2 or 3 big stories where he claimed anonymous sources
gtfo with that.

Yeah I mean it's still possible that this is all an op from Russia. One report from one guy isn't a final determination.

While I see the Russian motivation to attempt to turn the Western allies against each other, I saw ZERO Russian motive for destroying the pipeline in the first place. Now, if it turns out the pipeline was destroyed purely by negligence/mechanical failure, that does sound pretty Russian, and shifting blame to the U.S. would be a pretty good strategy. However, Russia had ZERO motive to purposely destroy that pipeline.
Nordsstream was their leverage. With Nordstream operating, Russia could choose or choose not to send gas to Germany, and use that gas as a bargaining chip. They could cut a deal that if Germany agreed to back Russian peace plans, then Germany would immediately get all the gas they need at a discount. On the flip side, they could starve needy nations of gas if those nations continued to materially support Ukraine.
Destroying the pipeline took away ALL Russian leverage. Russia could no longer offer gas as an inducement for supporting their side in a peace deal. Germany was reliant on that gas to run its manufacturing economy, so Germany sabotaging the pipeline makes little sense as well. They need that gas and may completely collapse economically without it.
If the pipeline didn’t fail due to an accident, the U.S. is the most likely candidate for sabotage.

Must be a legal industry thing. Hank and his MSM sources are exactly the same.
The popular opinion always trumps independent thought apparently.
