One of the reasons the Senate version is so weak, besides the normal ones, is that our gumpy friends from Alabama were dumb enough to vote for a Democrat for Senator. Of course we here in Louisiana voted for JBE so.....

The only problem is it is stupid to compromise on the issue that swept you into office. The "compromise" is political defeat in this context.

There isn't a problem, per se. He has to deliver. This bill isn't delivering. I will reserve judgment until I see the final details. The idea that Trump needs congressional authority to build the wall is silliness, though.
