Imagine sticking up for a corrupt politician because Trump said so.
Corruption, grift and profiteering needs to be rooted out of politics regardless of the politician or party.

One of the DFW Repub reps was complaining that Paxton was calling them during the impeachment hearing threatening them if they didn't vote nay.
This guy just doesn't have the charisma to get everyone to ignore the facts developed so far, and unless The Texas Senate really screws up, they are going to look worse at the actual impeachment trial.
