MAGA populism is not conservative. Conservatives are called RINOs by MAGA. Trump was a lifelong democrat until he realized there was a large group of uneducated people he could fool into voting for him.
I am now a man without a party. I can't vote Democrat and I can't vote for MAGA.

Yep. Trump was a trojan horse. Brought Democrat style populism to the Republican party and hijacked it.

Ronald Reagan was a Democrat before he was a Republican as well. And if I had to guess I’d say there have probably been some other influential examples as well. That particular point falls flat.
