You're right that Putin hasn't copied me on the emails, but I'm gonna stick with my assumption that plan A wasn't to lose >2500 vehicles and tens of thousands KWM pretending to take the capital.

Why would that be interesting? Has any nation that has ever fought in a war—victorious or not—only used its pre-war supplies?
It’s a very odd and quite frankly stupid thing to find “interesting” and to point out constantly. Russia is resupplying too—it just makes its own. Ukraine largely doesn’t.
The fact that Ukraine needs continuous supplies of munitions has no bearing or relationship to their success/lack of success in the field. It merely reflects that the war is ongoing.

It's not "the media". The Pentagon's briefing this morning was that they estimate that 40 of Russia's 130 battle groups they deployed are currently inoperable. Casualties are probably proportional to that.
