I don’t see Putin on Twitter crying everyday and telling the world if they don’t help him then they will die.

Yea I wonder why that is. Probably has something to do with the fact that Zelensky’s nation is militarily weak and being invaded, while Putin’s is comparatively strong and the invader.

It’s probably another reason though.

Maybe don’t provoke a bigger country than you to invade you.

Imagine how warped your mind has to be to think that a sovereign nation exercising its own foreign policy prerogatives based on the will of its people is “provocation”, while launching an invasion against your neighbor because you don’t like his choices is justified.

US domestic politics has completely broken so many of you, and your ability to discuss foreign affairs.

I have a feeling that all parties involved probably knew they would not be admitted all along.

If you're standing next to Conor McGregor are you going to start saying what pieces of shite Irish people are while letting him know you have buddies coming to protect your weak arse?

No, but that also has no relation whatsoever to the current situation in Ukraine. And even if it were somehow a relevant analogy, he would still not be justified or right in attacking me physically, no matter what words I said.

Imagine a leader not taking accountability or his actions and instead crying on Twitter to plunge the world to WW3!

But he said he needed anti tank ammo though!

Accountability for what action, exactly?

Once again, establishing closer relationship with the West because that is what he was elected by his constituents to do is NOT “provoking” Russia simply because Moscow doesn’t like it. There is no legitimate basis by which the Russians can dictate Ukraine’s foreign policy. Period. Just being next door does not give them that right, no matter how bad they want it.

And before you make the stupid whataboutism favorite rebuttal—yes this would also apply to Cuba or Mexico cozying up with Russia. That is not legitimate cause for military invasion.

Ukraine’s NATO Membership 'Will Not Take Place': German Chancellor German Chancellor Scholz said he shares Russian President Vladimir Putin’s security concern and clarified to Putin that Ukraine will not be allowed to join NATO. If true, that is a big deal and a major step to ending the war.

No it’s meaningless. Putin doesn’t care about the USA or any NATO saying that Ukraine won’t be allowed to join NATO. That was NATO’s position before the war but Putin still invaded. This war ends one of two ways. Ukraine puts up enough of a fight to drag the war out until the Russian economy collapses and the Russian people turn on Putin, or Putin installs a puppet government which battles a multiyear insurgency which eventually overthrows the puppet government. Either way Ukraine ends up being the next Afghanistan for Russia.

I’m not going to have a shouting match about Russia’s reason it invaded. All I’m going to say is that the only chance Ukraine had at winning this war was NATO intervention. However, NATO was pretty clear on its stance for not intervening. Instead of going through diplomatic means, Zelensky has decided to suicide his country while he hides in Poland and cries on Twitter.

Now, let’s not act like Putin woke up with a bad case of IBS and decided to invade Ukraine because that’s silly for a conflict stemming from the 90s.

I don't know, man. I think the MIC is salivating at the idea of funding an insurgency there for 10-20 years and bleeding out Russia.

The issue with comparing this to Afghanistan is that Afghanistan is a different culture, across the planet, mountainous, and landlocked by hostile countries. Ukraine is mostly flat, more similar culture, and on Russia’s doorstep.
