NASCAR has the sads. Their lowest tv viewing audience for the season was last week’s race. A mere qualifying race in Daytona drew more viewers.

The consequences of Woke.

Wokeness will get you a flash in the pan that fizzles out quickly. What you’re left with will be worse than before

How does this compare to normal

When I used to watch some NASCAR Kansas was definitely the type of race I'd skip

Huh, who could have seen this coming?

Oh, wait, ALL of us.

Bringing in new fans is necessary but doing it by alienating your existing fans is suicidal.

To be fair, it was a Thursday night race. The weeknight races the Cup Series has had to run this season have had lower ratings than normal weekend races.

I also doubt most people who started watching purely over the Bubba Wallace situation will stick with it very long, but it is important to consider when the race was run.

Are you telling me NASCAR fans are finding they don’t really like NooseCar?

Never been a race there with viewership under 2 mil as recorded on that site.

And that’s in years without the Kung Flu which should be boosting ratings.

Tucker, a political show is getting 4 million a night. A fricking political show is beating the NBA, MLB and NASCAR.

Any boost from COVID gets eliminated when the race is run on a weeknight (Thursday night), which was the case with the Kansas race.

This has more to do with the fact that nobody actually watching NBC Sports Network. If NASCAR would actually put the races on FOX and NBC instead of their sister network, the ratings wouldn't be all that bad.

Outside of that, maybe they realize Wallace isn't actually a good driver.

It also isn’t the only race ran on a weeknight this year... and those races have all performed better.

The 2nd race at Charlotte, which was a weeknight race (and also occurred before the Bubba Wallace stuff), had the same rating of 0.91.

More or less total viewers?

Slightly more, but it still proves the point that weeknight races don't do as well as weekend races. So, looking at the ratings for a single weeknight race isn't a good indicator of how the Bubba Wallace situation has impacted NASCAR viewership.

Full disclosure- I'm not a NASCAR guy. My observation is that the typical NASCAR fan is the least likely of all "fans" to tolerate this SJW shite. Long term this is a horrible strategy.

All of NASCAR was exposed. Thanks Bubba. Done. Just like the other Marxist sports groups. NFL, NBA, MLB.

Ironically, Brees was right...some things are bigger than sports. America 1st

That’s because the Woke crowd by-and-large has the mentality of a 6 year old. With the attention span to match.

This plus the terrible NBA and MLB ratings are all you need to know that Wokeness doesn't pay. Where are the tards now who were saying none of this would effect ratings and shite?

I can't wait to watch the NFL tank this year

Talk about a perfect storm. This phony BLM bullshite is enough to turn anybody off. Couple that with the virus shutting down professional sports for months, which allowed Americans to experience an existence without sports, and now we are seeing more & more people saying "to hell with those idiots."
