It's a terrible look for CBS to anyone with even an ounce of objectivity.
They don't want to air the speech? Cool, I guess.
But they DO want to air programming that directly contradicts the presidents words before anyone's had a chance to fully understand what was said? And they want people to think they're reporting the news fair and balanced?
CBS is an opposition platform. There is absolutely no other way to view it. The sad thing is, had they simply aired the presidents speech, they could have still aired these exact same guests and said all the same bullshite and the optics, while still had, would have been much better on orders of magnitude.

That's strange, I thought Bari Weiss was going to make them somewhat neutral. They have been in near mutiny because of it.

Trump should not have addressed the nation from the White House for this issue. He should have requested to address a joint session of Congress.

I agree with this, but I think the mistake we are being encouraged to make is to assign all democrats to that list. And they are being encouraged to assign all of us to the Proud Boy list.
In fact, there are plenty of democrats, of the Manchin variety, with whom we could make alliance. We’ll never agree with them on the fundamentals, but we can collaborate with them to sideline the nuts on both the left and the right. THIS is what China doesn’t want us to do, and they are acting strongly to keep us apart. I’d bet even money that some of the worst provocateurs on this site are Chinese agents.

So did Fox. ABC and NBC did not.
