Some "end racism" event held by Methodist women's group that is led by academics that dont seem to have any clergy background.

Not sure how they could have a more leftist panel to discuss those issues. Perhaps if Marx were still alive...

I dont think this worldview lends way to peace and harmony. It seems to motivate people to forever scavenge society and purge it of "historic evils". On top of that they seem to be focused almost entirely on white European influence in a historical context without recognizing any other evils perpetrated.

I guess Christ doesn't forgive sins...they really do need to keep beating themselves up over and over...glad to know though that the forgiveness that that panel is wanting can be made whole by writing checks to the injured

They're currently in a process to allow several congregations to leave and keep their property. COVID has held things up.

The Churches (all of them) have been infiltrated by evil and there is absolutely no indication that The Fallen Angel has any intention of giving them back to the true believers.
Hence, my new church is located under the bright stars of Heaven, and the warm rising sun on my own property. Since making that move, peace and harmony at Mulberry Ridge has been Divine.
It's time to rebuild America from her past century of wickedness, so I walked away from the SBC and I'm now in the early stages of building a CONGREGATIONALISTS church... like the Pilgrims did, like the Abolishionists did, like we need to TODAY.
Congregationalists are the ORIGINAL freedom loving American colonists that sailed the Mayflower. They were the Conductors of the Underground Railroad so all God's children could live free, and they are the Engineers that DJT needs to lead the multitudes on his Make America Great Again train.
They don't prescribe to dogma of the day and they are well known for making a stand against the Rulers. Each church is autonomous and NOT BEHOLDEN to the systemic corruption that is rampant throughout larger Church-based organizations and denominations. They answer to no one other than GOD and they often tell Uncle Sam to pound sand.
If you are God-fearing Christian who weeps as this Great Nation crumbles... then you're probably a Congregationalists and don't even know it.
The Methodists are done and so are many other churches when all this dust settles.
Edited for spelling and grammar.

The Methodist church is about to split. Been brewing the past several years, which started with their stance on gay marriage.

People are running screaming to get out of and as far away from Methodist Church as possible.

Dr. Alison Collis Greene teaches United States religious history, with interests in American religions as they relate to politics, wealth and poverty, race and ethnicity, the environment, and the modern rural South.
Simply cannot make shite like this up...

Our Baptist church held a “discussion” on the 23rd. Now we haven’t attended church since it reopened a couple weeks ago (scheduling issues) and had no idea that this was taking place. An email went out to church members on the 27th about how it went down. It made us curious because the email sounded bad. Well, we watched it last night, it was two hours of bull crap. We’re now considering looking for a new church.

It is under “A safe place to talk”. It’s just ridiculous that the church grounds were used to spout this stuff. Around 1 hour and 50 minutes one of the local police captains finally had had enough and spoke up. Thank goodness.
Apologies for the blind link. I’m not sure how to rename a link.

My father is extremely active in our church, which is not a small church by any means. There is currently a big push by a lot of the members to start a new "Wesleyan" church where they no longer have to worry about the politics of the rest of the Methodist church. Last summer came to a head when they were voting on whether or not to allow gay marriages in the church. Oddly enough, it was churches in Africa that were most beneficial putting it to bed for the moment, but it doesn't appear as if that stance is going to stick. If they do reverse course, which is somewhat expected, the Methodist church as it's been will be no more.

Pretty much all denominations have been infiltrated in some manner or another... Obviously, the Methodists have pretty much given up the ship in this country but the SBC is not that far behind...

I'm Methodist and our congregation is very conservative. We all can't wait to split from the national congregation.

I'm not against legalized unions between 2 people of the same sex. I dont want to bar anyone from what they feel is natural. With that being said, why are gay people seeking out churches to get married? What purpose does the ceremony serve for people who dont believe?

It’s already over.
Leadership was too cowardice to enforce the vote and decided to split the church. Idiots gave the heathens all the land buildings and pension money as well.
Honk honk.

It goes well beyond that with the Methodist church... However, it is all part of the left's agenda and in turn, evil's agenda... Get the "church" to conform to the whims of the world, twist and turn until it really means nothing any longer...
This was all foretold and will come to pass...
