The media is still talking about Donald J Trump and not President Biden. Trump should lay.

Trump should lay low and I think his base should too... for now.
Look for "Trumpism" to be the new focus with any and all anti-establishment sentiment being referred to as "Trumpism" and smeared with supremacy, racism etc etc labels.
I think there's an opportunity for another movement and political comeback, but they need to let the media HAVE to find something else to talk about and not give them an easy shift in focus. Otherwise, it will just be smearing whatever Trumps former base is trying to get rolling instead of focusing on Biden to make it seem like thats why Biden needs to remain in office for another term.
Just my opinion. CNN, MSNBC might actually survive longer than Fox News throughout all of this if he were to lay low then establish a new media outlet in a year.

They will do everything they can to ruin Trump and his family. They will make an example out of him, and send a message to anyone who wants to go against the establishment.

Trump can do whatever Trump plans on doing.

Letting the media "have to find something else to talk about" won't work.
The media and Democrats fabricate their own outrage stories. If Trump supporters don't give them anything, they'll just start making shite up.
For example, there have been no huge "white supremacist" stories for a while... so here comes Jussie Smollett and Bubba Wallace.
They're evil and there's no limit to the depths they will sink to. They. Do. Not. Care.
