The context for this exercise is the timeline. That is where the meaning is found.

The decline in duties is sad.

It also says a lot.

It's likely a function of new and harmful humanities majors available on campus. The majors that help people become professional grievers.

Seems some one is trying to not only control, but rather create the narrative.

Humanities majors are useful. As long as you don’t make a career in the humanities.

Listen to the Joe Rogan podcast with Jonathan Haidt. All of the research Haidt conducted about political correctness showed that there was a huge spike around 2014. Words like “safe space, “microaggression,” and “trigger” were extreme fringe phrases that suddenly hit the mainstream. It correlates with the timeline of kids who grew up with social media entering college.

KKK is the most damning because its usage was inversely proportional to the organization's membership, activity, and relevance.

Some of the others that trended up weren't a thing in 1970 so there would be a legitimate reason for the increase.

A solid third of those words were concepts, individually, but didn't come into existence as "a thing" until liberals stepped up their outrage game in the early 90s.

Your dead grandparents wouldn't be able to define half of them because they're 100% manufactured.

Right? And of course all the sheep downvote you for stating what’s immediately obvious to anyone who just doesn’t blindly agree with things they ‘think’ fit into their rigid world view. These charts make no sense without an explanation of the Y axis. This might be interesting, it might mean something, but as presented it’s meaningless.
