I haven't seen that they're actually attacking the cathedral itself yet. They have been outside the cathedral for over 24 hours now, but so far the police have been protecting the building. Earlier it looked like an actual war being fought outside the building.

Not yet. They have burned quite a few churches and buildings so far. I hope this one survives.
