The March For Science Wasn't About Science. It Was About Leftist Propaganda

I had to post this to pay tribute to the best line I read all week. I highlighted the line in bold.
daily wire
quote:
On Saturday, a sparse population of self-appointed guardians of Science™ showed up in 200 cities around the world to march for it. As David Burge of Iowahawk says, marching for science is somewhat like dancing for architecture, but that didn’t stop the media from covering the March for Science as a massively important event. CNN, for example, led with this glowing line: “Saturday's crowds were notably smaller than those that showed up for the first march in April 2017, but attendees expressed as much optimism and hope as they did last year.”
What, exactly, did these science advocates talk about? Not about sexual differentiation or fetal development, obviously. They talked instead about global warming and how to achieve more racial diversity amongst scientists:
"The challenges are real for underrepresented students in science," said Corey Welch, director of the STEM scholars program at Iowa State University. "We have to overcome the reality that few or no faculty share our identities or fully understand our situation on campus and how we have to relate back to our communities. … The diversity research clearly demonstrates bringing all the people to the table — to the scientific table — leads to better ideas, kinder, more ethical solutions, and always a more informed public policy," Welch added.
Well, no. That’s not actually what diversity research shows. As Robert Putnam of Harvard University says, “The only two things that go up as the diversity of your census track goes up are protest marches and television watching.” But science isn’t Science™! Science™ is about advancing Leftist policy priorities without any strong empirical grounding. And ripping into President Trump, of course.
But titling your little Leftist showpiece a “March for Science” does have the added benefit of allowing you to pretend that those who didn’t march somehow oppose science:

Science denial is an issue not isolated to one end of the political spectrum. For every member of the religious right who denies evolution, there's a family of tree hugging vegans out west who think vaccines cause autism. As much as the left likes to mock climate change denial, they are no less wrong in refusing to acknowledge that a 24 week old fetus is human baby.

The left's viewpoint of science is to fabricate it in a way that it justifies their perverted desires to destroy christianity and control the population. The global warming hoax is all about gov't control, not about "saving the planet".
The planet is cooling now, not warming.

The beauty of science is it's objectivity. Scientific truth is just that, truth and it doesn't matter how much that truth bothers or offends you. It remains true all the same waiting for intelligent beings to discover it.
The reality is that science causes many people from all political ideologies a great deal of cognitive dissonance because it refutes an aspect of their worldview. To deal with this, they find it easier to just outright deny it than deal with and address the inconsistencies.
If you ever want a good laugh, ask a SJW to explain why most professional athletes in America are black and watch them squirm.

There is a social media page I follow and the guy participated in the March. He said he was confronted by quite a few people trying to legitimize stupid shite like homeopathy.

Climate change research rarely follows the scientific method
If it was any other topic a lot of that data would be thrown out

"Climate change" is effectively just a buzzword these days. Most people, including those who endorse it, have a fundamental misunderstanding of what it is and how it's mechanisms are studied.

These losers need to get a life. I can’t imagine being that worked up over this that I need to protest all the time

These are true statements. It is very ironic that those on the left mock religious people for blindly believing in a 2000 year old book, yet you ask them about global warming and their response is..."Because the scientists told me soooo!"
I'm not disputing science...science is real. But be careful who you believe.

Science has been compromised; it is no longer solely based in objectivity. There was a time when science was almost pious in its efforts to remain objective, but as with all things, the love of money and competition for funding has called this objectivity into question.
As of late, science is being funded by those who have an agenda. As a result, science is being politicized. Often, future funding is contingent on research yielding certain outcomes. Sadly, too many scientists are willing to accommodate their benefactors in exchange for continued financial support.
