Probably the worst/ most destructive thing a President has done of the 21st Century.

Worse than Patriot Act, ObamaCare, or the Covid response.

I remember this night so vividly .

I was 14 or so and my dad and I were at the Memphis airport picking my uncle up . It was rainy and yucky weather.

Their plane came in to land and something went wrong when they touched down and they picked it back up and circled back around to land again

He said people were absolutely freaking out thinking they were going to die

We were listening to talk radio as reports came in about the bombing in Baghdad as we waited at the airport for my uncle to arrive

You could argue that Covid response would have looked different without 9/11 response and financial meltdown response, but taking them as separate "events" - Covid response dwarfs 9/11 response in terms of damage to the country.

I remember it well as my platoon was the first to cross and lead the army across the border. That night was so awesome seeing the aircraft frick shite up before we made the push. Went a few days seeing nothing but blown up shite and no action. We were begging for action until we got it and it hit us in the mouth.

Those three dwarf the Iraq invasion in terms of civil liberties and direct effect to America. It was a bad, ill informed move for sure, but don't make it out to be more than it is.

I was for it at the time. I can’t say the same thing with hindsight being what it is. Thank you to those that served. One of my neighbors was in the airborne and served in Afghanistan. He’s America through and through and he has serious reservations about how things went in the War on Terrorism.

The Afghanistan and Iraq “wars” were both based on lies, and our country continues to suffer the consequences.

I was in Afghanistan when Iraq kicked off... No doubt Iraq was a huge mistake...

Spent 2 tours in Iraq at various points and it was not worth it...

Not sure Afghanistan was worth it at this point either...
