I believe the count is 42 million. Now the left-leaning democrats want the taxpayers to foot the bill for free healthcare for illegal aliens.

The food stamp SNAP program is the most fraudulent government program in existence. And that says a lot because 99.99% of every government program is loaded with fraud.

That number seems low to me. Now throw in Section 8 housing subsidies on top is SNAP.

The only way to fix a problem like this is nuke it and start over.

Title I schools receive federal funding to provide supplemental educational assistance to students, especially those from low income families. The entire district my son was part of (he is now in private school) received these funds for all schools. As part of their Title I status, all students received free breakfast and lunch daily.
I assume the EBT cards sent to the homes were to replace the free meals students were getting from the schools. I can also tell you that my son’s district reopened in full the following August and the EBT money ceased immediately.

According to a statement from the Alabama Grocers Association, the federal food assistance program supports more than 7,800 jobs and $350 million in wages for grocery employees statewide.

There are over 750,000 Alabamians enrolled in SNAP - that’s almost 15% of the state’s population.
The grocers association said any cuts or interruptions to the program could cost Alabama up to $1.7 billion in annual federal funds, resulting in a $2.55 billion economic loss. That would put “rural grocery stores — often the only food source for many communities — at risk of closure,” the association said.
