I have to admit that I’m just not feeling it this year. I’ve come to realize that the ideals of our founding fathers have been corrupted for decades, and that those in power have just been shoveling shite into our mouths and we’ve been convinced by a corrupt media that it’s good for us. Still, I grilled the hot dogs, fired off some fireworks, and have been grinning and bearing it.

Not much to celebrate. Either the majority wants to materially change everything that made this country great by electing a dementia patient and a Marxist OR the election was stolen and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it. Either way, the country really sucks right now.

We just had an election stolen. There are false pretenders occupying the White House. We do not have a free press. You can lose your job and have your life turned upside down for uttering the wrong word. Other than that, happy fkn fourth.

Small town in central Oklahoma here, and it was LIT at the fireworks display, and honestly since about 2pm.
Fire department did free hot dogs for kids and set up a massive slip and slide with sprinklers. When the crowds started showing up for the show early, around 8pm CST, about 50% of vehicles were flying American flags and probably 25% were flying "TRUMP 2024" flags.
We know they stole it. It's no secret. But we'll be goddamned if we let them take our way of life too.

It’s not you, it was really dead out here in Holly Springs. There’s never been such a quiet 4th around here. Either a bunch of people left town, or there was no enthusiasm this year. Probably a little of both.

Same here in Orange County, CA. So many fireworks. All night and just constant. They shake the windows every once in a while.
It happens every 4th. I should go somewhere else at this time but I never do.

There were 500k people in downtown Nashville last night. I’d bet 90% of the crowd doesn’t recognize Joe Biden as the legitimate president. MAGA hats everywhere.
