I’m not making judgement about whether we should or should not quarantine or shut down anything.

What is done is done.

When this ends, we will have a global change, and the economic destruction will be a highlight of history books like nothing that currently gets taught.

Globalization and the era of independent micro states will be over. Empire, the natural state of man, will be the standard. China (if they survive intact) and others will be who we compete with. Gone is the day of the independent “kenya” or “Philippines”.

War is likely coming, whether it involves the USA or not. The world is about to get Normal. This depression and the following protectionism will fricking RUIN Germany, Ireland, China, India, Indonesia, and Africa. Others too.

Will the USA’s direct influence wane? Yes. Will we end up in a better place? Also yes. But shite isn’t going back how it was.

Invest accordingly.

Don't worry we're printing trillions of dollars to give to the banks so that they can give you "loans".

This has the potential to make the Great Depression pale in comparison. Remember, about 50% of the people were still in the agricultural-based economy and much more self-sufficient.

So every single thing that we were accustomed to merely 3 weeks ago has been squashed and we will never see again?

Not saying I agree or disagree, just want to make sure I’m understanding your opinion.

Me? They’re giving loans to stupid, scared banks and foreigners. People who look at their shitholes and reasonably say “I want to buy dollars, because my country could collapse tomorrow.

The Fed fairy will continue until it gets called out.

And the dust bowl decimated them. Drama is strong in here tonight.

I would be thrilled (or upset) TJ be proven wrong.

Bump in a year.

Everything will be back to normal by mid-summer 2020.

Maybe sooner.

I really really hope people invest like they talk because if so some people will make a fortune off their stupidity. There is no great depression coming.

The world we knew three weeks ago is never going to go back to the relative "normalcy' we felt. If only for the reason is the shock this has done to the national psyche. This all still feels like a dream somewhat and we're still in a daze. As the days go by and we begin to grasp and accept the awful dread of coming weeks and months with more shocks, today will have seemed not too bad.

Yes, I'll miss the daily media freak out over Trump colluding with Russia, the Ukraine and aliens instead of our current freak out over Trump murdering Americans with a virus.

Indeed. Especially if we're watching mass civil unrest on a scale never seen in history. That's going to start happening once the government can't / won't continue more trillion-dollar stimulus packages,if this continues to drag- making it impossible to restart any semblance of the economy we once had.
