Fair - but the left does not hang its hat on votes from the religious right.
I supported the impeachment of Clinton. He did apologize and ask forgiveness - a follower of Christ may not want him to hold office, but they are supposed to forgive the remorseful.
Trump boasts about grabbing pussy and f'cking pornstars who look like his daughter. He shows no remorse for transgressions and he expects his cult followers to support him in the 'i will not repent for my life of sodomy' defense. That will be a hard sell to many.
