I think it’s their long term play to force the GOP to suspend the filibuster so they can justify doing it next time they are in power.
Which is why if we do that the GOP better ram through massive changes like major spending cuts, voter ID laws, etc. make sure the legislature fixes things so the Democrats don’t win again anytime soon
