The moral code of the Bible has been replaced by the immortal code of man. To me, it’s clear to see that our current path is ruinous and unsustainable.
To others, this will only be revealed with time.

We had a great church in Gilbert (Arizona). Sun Valley Community Church LINK
Now back in CenLA and finding a lot of "religion" in the Southern Baptist church we go to.
I brought a lot of visitors to Sun Valley - very comfortably and confidently. I don't feel that way anymore bringing visitors.
Understanding Grace and living in it is liberating. Too much bondage in the man made aspects of religion. God's way is better.

This isn’t true. What you are saying is you don’t believe what the Bible says about these issues.

The moral code of the Bible was written and modified by man.

I read an article recently that said the large majority of youth ministries are failures and produce few true consistent converts. That’s sad

This reminds me of YWAM. Although I don't question Loren Cunningham's faith and motives, I am referring to what the organization has become apart from Mr. Cunningham.

I know of many young students in my personal network who were sold a romanticized and glamorous idea of "selling it all" for the sake of the Kingdom. They go abroad to these camps for months at a time - thinking that they have received some special calling and recklessly throw away their education and schooling for some crusade without ever having a foundational maturity in their walk and knowing truly what the Gospel means. Post-climax of melodramatized worship sessions and 'prophesying ministry sessions', they then return home without any real plan or goal in their lives and simply drift.

I am partly alluding to the charismatic movement and how it has replaced the Gospel with a cheapened imitation which surrounds Gnosticism and sensationalism.

I understand that sentiment, but for me, when I see what is around me, I find it harder to believe all this came from nothing and evolved without anyone guiding it.

I definitely get that.

We could go round and round about the Bible being inspired by God, but that’s pointless

Absolutely. The Bible is a self-licking ice cream cone.

"Believe what I wrote."
"Why?"
"Because it says so in what I wrote "

Correct. Along with the Koran, Tanakh, and other religions scriptures. You chose to believe the Bible and Christianity, and that’s cool and all, but it’s hard for me to believe in it as nothing more than a theory. I feel like the Bible is just too simple.

You and I feel the opposite on The Bible.
However, you are correct in that The Bible is pretty simple.
The Bible, Genesis through Revelation, can be summed up in one verse - Romans 6:23
Check it out and get back to me. You gotta receive it.

You’re right, you have to receive it, and believe in it. It’s just hard for me to. Same could be said for being a Democrat or a Republican. You just gotta receive it, and believe in it.
