All of these deep state actors including guys like McRaven are afraid of being exposed for their crimes against the people and the constitution. Their sky screaming is just an attempt to mold the narrative with desperate hyperbole such as "ill adivised" "unprecedented"

To say it is "unprecedented" that anyone has ever had their status to view top secret intelligence revoked or downgraded is insane, especially considering this piece of shite is no longer employed by the fedgov.

John Deutsch and David Petraeus both had their clearances yanked.

The biggest thing here is the absolute stupidity of the 1st amendment argument, and they expect people to be dumb enough to fall for it. They think (know) their viewers are stupid.

Brennan didn't lose his right to say anything he wants.
He lost his ability to learn secrets.
Is there an amendment that guarantees every citizen a right to learn government secrets?

He lost his ability to sell secrets. Those guilty of selling secrets to the press and or other govts need to be prosecuted and pay dearly for their crimes.
Sadly in todays upside down world, it's more likely that the innocent will be framed for the crimes of this group.

Exactly! Why would someone who is either retired or has been fired be allowed to or even need to retain ANY top secret or classified status.

I’ve had security clearances 3-4x in my life, and every time I left the position that required it, I lost it.

It was ill advised that you ever had a security clearance.

Congressman King from NY said that people keep their security clearance because the current adm may have some sort of crisis and need the advice of someone from the previous administration......then said "This guy is an idiot, who would seek his advice on anything".

It wasn’t TS, mostly DoE and NASA, but once I left those positions, I lost them.

There is a very reasonable explanation for allowing former government employees to retain their security clearance after leaving government service.

But , both sides have lost their god damned minds on this issue and are refusing to acknowledge facts, so why bother explaining?

Then ask for it to be reinstated . . . .

And if the response says "It would take too long", just laugh, because NOT ONE single person is monitored while out of office, and keeping their clearance

I was watching Good Morning America the morning they announced this.

"This is an unprecedented move by a president regarding a former head of an intelligence agency!"

Couple of sentences later, "Although the outspoken criticism of the president by Brennan is unprecedented, many think this move is retribution by Trump."
